With hit-and-run collisions increasing, CAR will
provide investigative techniques, methods and proven
procedures to assist in solving the case. This
requires the identification and collection of unique
forensic evidence from the struck pedestrian and
the striking motor vehicle. Armed with this evidence,
you will learn to calculate the pedestrian's impact
speed using CAR's Pedestrian Reconstruction software
( included free for every student). Over 35 different
formulae are compared and calculated to establish
speeds.
